多種莓類萃取物
每一次食用份量的ORAC沖飲含有653毫克的莓類萃取物,這些萃取物都是從含有高ORAC值的食物中提取出來,如接骨木果、藍莓及野莓。這些萃取物含有多種生物類黃酮、有機酸和其他多酚類化合物,能幫助身體防禦自由基的侵害。
維他命C
維他命C(又名抗壞血酸),是人體必需的養分,用以參與新陳代謝作用。橙、檸檬、西柚、士多啤梨、蕃茄、小椰菜、辣椒及哈蜜瓜等食品,都是很好的維他命C來源。維他命C為人熟悉是因為它是最強效的抗氧化劑之一,能保護人體對抗自由基侵害及鞏固細胞。維他命C亦是膠原蛋白合成所需酵素的輔因子。維他命C還有更為人熟悉的功能,那就是支援免疫系統,它的抗氧化功能是在血液及細胞內的水性部份中進行的。

甚麼是抗氧化劑?
抗氧化劑的意思就是對抗氧化作用,其功能是保護脂肪免受自由基的過氧化作用。抗氧化劑之所以有效,是因為它們會放棄一顆電子並給予自由基,當自由基從抗氧化劑得到電子後,便不再需要攻擊人體細胞,氧化作用的連鎖反應便會被終斷。
自由基是從哪裏來的?
簡單如呼吸、食物代謝過程、產生腺三磷(ATP)為酵素催化反應提供燃料等,都會產生自由基。氧自由基對人體造成的損害來自:進食高脂肪食品、加工食品、食物防腐劑、離子化輻射(紫外線、加馬射線、X光)、運動、壓力、污染、食水中的氯氣及吸煙等。透過提升人體血液內的抗氧化物水平,以及保護部份從其他食物吸收的抗氧化物的能力,讓它們發揮最大的效用,Isotonix Maximum ORAC沖飲有效幫助人體對抗氧化作用。
